Centering Prayer is a receptive method of silent prayer in which we experience
God's presence within us,
closer than breathing,
closer than thinking,
closer than consciousness itself.
This method of prayer is both a relationship with God
and a discipline to foster that relationship.

St. Francis of Assisi Beginning Centering Prayer Community is one of five Centering Prayer groups in Spokane. We host individuals from a number of different faith traditions. Our goal is to help individuals deepen their faith in God through sitting in silence and shared discussions on a variety of spiritual materials.
